Bio
Rachel’s practice focuses on assisting clients in all matters related to contracts and regulatory compliance, from initial negotiations to contractual disputes. As an associate attorney, Rachel brings experience in transactional law, with a focus on cannabis-related ventures. As a passionate advocate for the industry and for small business owners, she has honed a deep understanding of the intricate legal frameworks governing cannabis businesses at local, state, and federal levels. Recognizing the diverse needs and aspirations of cannabis entrepreneurs, Rachel adopts a collaborative and solution-oriented approach to client representation. She prioritizes understanding each client’s unique objectives, tailoring strategies that align with their vision and foster sustainable growth. Rachel enjoys helping entrepreneurs intentionally structure their business entities, tactfully implement contract strategies, and maintain compliance with current laws and regulations, in order to build a successful foundation for cannabis businesses. She has been actively presenting, teaching, and writing on Minnesota’s new cannabis law to attorneys and entrepreneurs.
Rachel graduated from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, summa cum laude, in 2022. While in law school, she concentrated her studies on practical regulatory and compliance classes, which led her to a Health Law Certificate and Compliance Certificate, as well as a national placement in a Regulatory and Compliance Competition. She held several leadership roles in law school, including serving as an editor of the Mitchell Hamline Law Review and President of the Health Law Society. Rachel serves as a Co-Founder of The Dot Twin Cities, a local women’s networking group.
